We’ll be missing it now,
we’ll never see it,
we’re missing it now.
We’re passing the opportunity,
we’re missing it by far,
we’re missing it now, our chance.
We coax them to be beautiful,
but that’s not close enough,
we have to love them when they’re not,
and believe it when they are.
We’re missing the chance to
accept a blank face, and a plain body,
yeah, we’re missing it now,
we’ll be missing it now.

How did we let it by,
the chance to make it right,
we had them in cages
and when finally they could speak,
we only wanted to hear
words of praise and dirt talk in our ears.
Our eyes are set too high,
and our hands go too far down,
our voices touch their ears
and not their hearts,
we’re missing it,
yeah, we’ll be missing it
now.

Roll down the window
and take a step back,
call out and whistle
and take two steps farther.
Grab they’re chest
and run a mile away,
break their heart
and take a flight back form our opportunity,
yeah, we’ll miss it,
oh, we’re missing it now,
there it goes,
gone with the words that stripped them,
gone with the hands that broke them.

We’ll be missing it now, I see,
our chance to give
the world a better view
on a woman’s heart,
and a woman’s feelings,
but we’ve missed it now,
our chance to love
like real humans do,
and instead they’ve become
dolls, and if a doll ain’t pretty,
they’re off the shelf and put in storage
with concrete walls to hide their shame.
They put their love in six feet of dirt,
and we bury them deeper with
every
single
word
we burry them,
with
every
single
touch,
we kill them.
